Hello, Students of USM!
Welcome to what I am sure will be our best and brightest year at the University of Southern Maine. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Lizzy Lynch, and I am your currently elected Student Body President – as well as a Resident Assistant and peer. Please consider me a resource and friend to all on campus, and feel encouraged to come say hello at any of our upcoming SBPO events, Res Life events, or if you just want to chat during lunch at McGoldrick. The thing that has, and continues to make USM such a beacon of light, is its students. There is such a culture of harmonious, self-sufficient, and compassionate students living amongst these halls in addition to a multitude of academic opportunities for those with the eyes to spot them. For the foreseeable future, this is your home, and no matter where you go from here, USM has been part of your story since you enrolled. Live all of the days of your life: learn something new, make those connections, better your environment, apply for the position you think is a long shot, be kind to yourself. The Student Body President’s Office and I are grateful to be your neighbors, and we are so proud of you! Best wishes to all for a record year! Roll dogs.
