The Maine Mayhem Film Festival is an annual film festival showcasing short films created by the Communications and New Media Studies students at Southern Maine Community College (SMCC). This year’s presentation brings us work from over 23 students including a lineup of 8 short films, and 14 microshorts. Several students from the USM Department of Theatre will be featured in acting roles across multiple films within the festival this year. The 16th annual Maine Mayhem Film Festival will premiere at the Nickelodeon Theater on May 7th, at 6:00pm & 9:00pm. An encore screening will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, at the Portland Museum of Art at 3:00pm. And finally, there will be another screening offered Friday, May 29th, at the Biddeford City Theater at 6:30pm. More screenings are likely to be announced at a later date.
