On Wednesday, Feb. 11, Confidential Resource Advisor Sam Figard hosted a Kahoot trivia event in Lower Brooks, drawing a crowd of more than 80 students eager to test their knowledge on topics such as dating myths and relationship red flags. The event focused on helping students better understand healthy relationship behaviors, common misconceptions about dating, and warning signs of unhealthy relationships. Questions covered topics such as communication, consent, boundaries, and recognizing supportive versus harmful patterns in relationships.
Students participated using their phones and competed in real time, creating a high-energy, game-show-style atmosphere filled with friendly competition and discussion. Along the way, participants learned practical information while also having the chance to ask questions and reflect on scenarios presented in the quiz.
Top scorers received prizes including a Keurig machine, a Beats Pill speaker, headphones, a laptop, and a record player, among other items. Additional raffle prizes were also awarded, allowing even more attendees to walk away with something. This event made relationship education engaging and accessible, and the strong turnout and enthusiastic participation suggested it was a success.
