Title: Octoberfest Success!
By Amber Friend | Sports Editor
The 2024 Fall Homecoming and Family weekend was highlighted by Saturday, October 5th, Octoberfest on the Gorham campus. Students, friends, family, faculty, and staff filled the campus, enjoying a beautiful day full of festivities. Pumpkin painting brought out the inner artist in all of us as we sipped on a free Aroma Joe’s rush. If you wanted to test your skills, there was also a rock climbing wall, mechanical bull, and jousting pit. The weather was perfect, and the atmosphere was awesome. I made sure to head over to Corthell Hall to watch the outdoor concert for a few songs before playing a couple of games of cornhole. There really was something for everyone to do. It was really nice to see the community come together and engage in the activities. Entering midterm season can be very stressful. The so-called honeymoon phase of the year is unfortunately over, and a break like this is definitely needed. Shoutout to OAB, CAB, SEAL, and everyone else who helped make such an amazing day.
