Title: Halloween Safety Tips
By Sports Editor | Amber Friend
Halloween is supposed to be spooky and fun, but it can quickly become scary and dangerous. Here are some tips to ensure your weekend is safe this Halloween season.
- Stay with a group
Use the buddy system, and don’t go out alone.
- Turn your location on
Keep your phone fully charged and on you, and tell friends and family where your group will be.
- Be visible
Be careful when crossing the street and travel in well-lit areas.
- Watch your drink
Don’t accept open drinks, and never leave your drink unattended.
- Trust your instincts
Find an escape route and avoid huge crowds.
- Pace yourself
Drink water and eat plenty of food throughout the day.
- Don’t get behind the wheel while under the influence
Never drive after a night of drinking or smoking. Call an Uber or a friend.
Myself and all of us here at the Free Press wish you an epic, but most importantly, safe Halloweekend!
