By Caraline Squires | Staff Writer
As the election grows closer, local conversations about what foreign policies will mean for Maines and our daily lives are of the utmost importance. Join the World Affairs Council of Maine and the Muskie School of Public Service for their third annual forum on Oct. 24 at the 2024 Fall Foreign Policy Forum in the Glickman Library from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Global Stakes with Local Ties: Diverse Perspectives on the Election and Foreign Policy will be a conversation about the intersection of foreign policy and the election, with the goal of fostering an open dialogue about global issues and the election in November, as well as encouraging voter engagement. Panel participants Sarah Petrin, Tae Chong, Eisha Khan, Mike Rurenza Mfashingabo, and Julia Trujillo Luengo will lead the conversation.
Last year, the Fall Foreign Policy Forum focused on U.S. leadership in the Middle East peace process, inviting five former U.S. Ambassadors living in Maine to discuss the major global challenges U.S. policymakers face.
Don’t miss this year’s 2024 Fall Foreign Policy Forum in the Glickman Library from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Glickman Family Room on Oct. 24.
