New Hampshire Ski/Snowboard Weekend Trip to Cranmore and Attitash- While the semester is young and your procrastination has not yet caught up with you, let’s get away for a weekend of downhill fun! We will visit Cranmore Mountain on Saturday, perched above Conway, New Hampshire; and hit Attitash Mountain on Sunday to experience another piece of the White Mountains. Saturday night will be spent in Conway at a cozy hotel, where we will treat ourselves to a cook-in feast that evening as reward for our hard work. Price for the weekend includes both lift tickets, transportation, dinner and accommodations. $75 for students; $115 for domestic partners/faculty /staff. Contact 780-4939 for more information.

Night Hike and Star Gazing- As the sun goes down, we will take a quick hike to the top of Bradbury Mountain with headlamps, for a chance to gaze into a dark winter’s sky, away from city lights and buildings. In our sights will be Pegasus, Orion, Taurus, the Pleiades, the Gemini Twins, and much more. Hot cocoa will be provided as we identify as much in the heavens as we can. X-Country Ski Series- Are you looking for a fun way to stay in great shape this winter? If you are, the great State of Maine has untold miles of trails, in woods and fields, that make for an inspiring workout. We will be visiting nearby destinations this winter to glide, grunt, pant, and swish across a sample of this Maine terrain. No experience is necessary to participate, just come when you can and have a good time! Limited gear is available, but you are welcome to bring your own. Transportation is provided. Snowshoe Series- Walking has never been so much fun, and never such great exercise as when snowshoeing. We will find some paths and break our own ground among the trees and in fields of some quiet but nearby places. Plan on two hours of snowshoeing. Limited gear is available, but you are welcome to bring your own. Transportation is provided.
