Recent (or not so) accolades:
Freshman year: was crowned as the first ever All-American for outdoor track at USM. Placed eighth in the nation for Division III in the 110-meter hurdles.
Pre-game rituals or superstitions:
“I do not believe in superstitions. I feel they are just added stress to the stress that you already feel before/during competition. My rituals are simply train hard Monday to Thursday; on Friday I relax and stretch a lot, and throughout the week I try to maintain focus on and off the track to the best of my ability. And last but not least: always maintain a high level of fluid intake. This prevents cramps, soreness, and helps blood flow.”
Favorite thing about USM athletics:
“With athletics in general, I love that you can go as far as you want to. It all depends on how much intensity you can take as a person.”
Special Thanks:
“To my Mom Annmarie Gadbois. If it wasn’t for you pushing me to be the best that I can be, I would not be here accomplishing the many things that I have. I will always remember you as my first coach, at age six, teaching me the hurdles down on Fitzpatrick Stadium. And to my brothers Philip and Paul, and sister Kiara for always having my back no matter what. Last but not least, to my teammates and coaches especially Coach Bruce Bickford (if it wasn’t for him, I probably would not be in college at all). You guys are the greatest, and symbolize what true friendship really means!”
