Where are you from?
I’m an international student from Nazareth.
What is it like in Nazareth?
It’s very different. The weather is warmer and there is a lot more history to the city. There are many markets and it’s very alive. Downtown Nazareth is like the city from Aladdin [the Disney movie], but more modern.
Why did you choose USM?
I’ve spent a lot of time in Maine in some summer camps before attending USM. I applied for a few schools around the country and some offered me a full scholarship; one of them was USM.
What is your favorite movie?
The first Matrix, because it made me think differently about the world and made me wonder how the world works. The second and third were disappointing.
My favorite documentary movie is “The Elegant Universe” by Brian Greene.
If you could meet one famous or historical person, who would it be and why?
Albert Einstein because I think I would want to ask him questions about physics and politics. Also because I think he was one of the most interesting and intelligent persons ever.
What would you like to do after school?
I would like to go to Sicily and live there forever after I get my master’s degree.
What do you like to do on your free time?
I like playing my hand drums.
