Freshman Justin Chaffee, Fryeburg, ME, recently earned LEC rookie of the week honors for his outstanding play the week of April 12-18. This is the second time this spring that Chaffee has been named the LEC Rookie of the Week. He also won the award for the week of March 29 through April 4. Chaffee posted a perfect 4-0 record last week, winning a pair of singles matches and two doubles matches. Playing at number one in singles, he defeated John Indrisano of Bridgewater State College, 6-1, 6-2, on Friday April 16, then came back on Saturday April 17 in an LEC match to beat Tauquir Puthawala of Rhode Island College, 6-0, 6-1, at number two singles.
