Gorham Police Department asked USM Police to go off-campus to help with a school bus full of fighting teenagers. An ambulance was called for someone with a head injury.
A domestic disturbance was reported in Portland Hall.
A man reported having his pants, car keys and wallet stolen while he worked out at the Sullivan Gym.
A keyboard and mouse were taken from a Gorham Student Center office.
April 6
Someone reported ‘a black SUV driving on the sidewalk running down students.’ No one was injured.
Gorham and USM Police Departments received noise complaints concerning someone playing a musical instrument somewhere on College Ave. The USM officer on duty reported a group jamming in Corthell Hall was the source.
April 7
The RA on duty was advised that substances were being poured out of the windows of Anderson Hall.
April 8
The dispatcher heard noises outside, looked up and saw something thrown out of a window on the third floor. A RA on duty was advised.
There was a report of a gun in the visitors parking lot in front of Payson-Hall, the report proved to be unfounded.
For the second time, police found a Handicap parking sign, pole and cement block in a trash can.
A suspicious white male was reported walking around the second floor of Bailey Hall
April 9
A male was urinating in the back of a pickup. No criminal charges were filed.
April 10
WMPG requested that USM Police remove an intoxicated male who wandered into the station. An officer later found the man on the street, waiting for a ride.
A smoke alarm was set off by a shower in Philippi Hall.
Police were requested to assist a RA with a noise complaint in Upton Hall.
April 11
Gorham Police Department requested USM Police at the Gorham Burger King. A man was banging on the door, while a couple of employees were inside doing a deposit. The man was removed.
The Portland parking garage’s gate was found kicked in, it still works.
A RA reported a criminal trespass violation at Portland Hall. The police were unable to locate the violator.
A resident of the Gorham Campus reported damage to his car. A note had been left with the identity of the offender.
April 12
Parking meters were thrown down the hillside in Gorham. Facilities Management was contacted.
April 13
Two people were reported drunk in front of 29 Baxter Blvd and refused to move on. They were gone when the officer on duty arrived.
A Gorham resident reports being harassed over the Internet. The case is currently under investigation.
