March 4
Someone reported being pushed to the floor from behind by an unknown assailant in Portland’s Masterton Hall.
March 5
A fire extinguisher was dropped from Upton Hall in Gorham onto the sidewalk below. The extinguisher was removed from the fourth floor of the building and therefore probably dropped from that floor. Police are investigating.
Two full cans of beer were thrown from Upton Hastings’ fourth floor windows onto the windshield of a car. There was no visible damage to the car. Two students were written up by ResLife for this offense, and police will not press charges.
March 6
Police stopped a car on the Gorham campus and found an illegal knife and drug paraphenalia. The owner of the car was charged for ownership of the offending items and for criminal trespassing. He was also repremanded for having a broken license plate light.
March 7
Objects were being thrown at Upton Hastings and out of windows from the second floor. Police notified the RA on duty.
March 8
A Facilities Management truck was parked behind Upton-Hastings with keys hidden inside. Someone drove the truck from there to the parking lot behind 128 School St. and left the truck running with all the doors locked. Facilities Management employees found a spare key and recovered the truck. No damage or theft was found on or in the vehicle.
March 9
Someone discharged a fire extinguisher on the second floor of Portland Hall.
Someone punched a hole in the drywall in the first floor of Portland Hall’s Yankee Clipper.
March 10
Someone held a lighter to cork boards in on the third floor of Anderson Hall, burning them.
A female student on the Portland campus reported being followed around by a suspicious male.
A door in the Child Care Center of Portland’s Sullivan Gym sustained prying damage in what USM Police think was an attempt to break in.
