3/1 Coach Fifield is named LEC coach of the year, in addition three Huskies earn first team all-conference honors: Sophomores Tiffany Jones, Skowhegan, ME; Megan Myles, Turner, ME/Edward Little HS; and senior Jen Webster, Braintree, MA.

2/28 vs. Open New England Championships
Junior Kim Brewer (Bristol, Vt./Mount Abraham Union HS) of
earned All- New England honors when she placed fifth in the pentathlon at the New Brewer, who set a school record in the five-event test, amassed 3,136 points to take fifth place. She broke her own record, set last February, by 18 points.
The Huskies’ 4 x 800-meter relay combination of junior Sara Marzouk, Wilder, VT; freshman Andrea Newton, Berlin, NH; junior Lindsay Davis, North Berwick, Maine/Noble HS; and senior Kristy Wechter, South Berwick, ME/Marshwood HS also set a school record with their time of 9:55.07. They are the first USM 4 x 800-
meter relay team to break the ten-minute barrier, and broke the former record by more than nine seconds.

Freshman Trey Gadbois, Portland, ME, earned All-New England honors in a pair of events, while junior Wil Snyder, Saco, ME/San
Benito, Ca, received similar distinction in the pole vault. The Distance Medley Relay team shattered the school record. Overall, the Huskies tallied six points to place 20th among the 30 teams that participated in the meet.
