Theatre troupe holding auditions
The Winter Harbor Theatre Company is holding open auditions for “Serenading Louie” on Monday March 15 from 5-7 P.M. and March 16 from 7-9 P.M. at the St. Lawrence Arts and Community Center at 76 Congress St. There are openings for two men and two women, aged 25-35. Interviewees should read the play before showing up.
President to to discuss long-term plans with faculty, staff

Free art video screening in Gorham
USM is hosting a screening and discussion of “A Midwife’s Tale” and “Semiotics of The Kitchen,” by artist Martha Rosler on Thursday, March 4 at 4:30 P.M. in Robie-Andrews’ Burnham Lounge. The screening is sponsored by USM’s Fannie E. Gray Educulture Fund, and is free. For more information, call 780-5009.
Upcoming convocation events
Sustainability Coordinator Dudley Greeley will be holding his “The comforts of home-for less!” lecture in room A of the Woodbury Campus Center in Portland from 4:30 to 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 3. Martha Freeman’s “Remembering Rachel: Reflections on the Letters of Rachel Carson and Dorothy Freeman” presentation will be held in the Woobcury Campus Center’s auditorium 7-9:30 P.M. the same day.
On Thursday, March 4 there will be a presentation of the film “Blue Vinyl,” by Judith Helfand, from 1:15-2:30 P.M., in room 326 of Luther-Bonney Hall in Portland. There will be a discussion of Aldo Leopold’s “A Sand County Almanac,” at 5:30 P.M. in room 429, of the Glickman Library in Portland.
