What brought you to the area- what do you think of it?
I knew that I wanted to stay in the Portland area because of my community involvement here.
Why did you choose USM?
I wanted a school where I could go part-time, be involved with the school, and still continue with my involvement in the community.
What would you do to make life better for the USM student?
Upgrade the ARAMARK food from a level “D” to a level “C”.
College: educational enrichment of four-year party?
Let’s call it “cultural enrichment.”
What is the most significant thing that you have learned here?
That my life is actually going head in a different direction then I thought . . . away from traditional education.
What do you do when you are not at USM?
I’m a firefighter/EMT, and I volunteer with a local non-profit.
How does your major and educational direction compare to your childhood aspirations?
I have always wanted to be a teacher. I know I still want to work with youth, but in more non-traditional ways.
If you could say one sentence to George W., what would it be?
You have a lot to learn about life.
What is your biggest per peeve?
When people use derogatory and offensive terms.
Where would you like to travel and why?
Anywhere. I LOVE to travel. (That’s another thing I do when I’m not at USM.)
