Author reading
Author Jonathan Lethem of Brooklyn, New York will read from his new novel “The Fortress of Solitude” in the Woodbury Campus Center cafeteria, Portland campus. There will be a book signing afterwards, with copies available for purchase from the USM Bookstore. The reading will be preceded by a reception held by Words & Images, USM’s literature and art journal. The publication’s staff will answer questions and hand out information about submission guidelines and contests. A cash bar and light refreshments will be available. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., and Lethem’s reading begins at 7:30 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public. Art exhibit opening
