Senate Meeting in portland campus center this week
The Student Senate will be holding its weekly meeting in the Woodbury Campus Center’s auditorium in this week at 7 p.m. on Thursday. The Portland meeting is normally held in the Senate’s home at 11 Baxter. The Senate voted to hold the meeting in a public place as part of a continuing effort to be more accessible to students. All USM students are encouraged to attend the meeting and will be able to participate with concerns and comments.
Criticize ARAMARK, win free airfare
USM is employing a company called Miller-Williams, a company that conducts online surveys of the quality of businesses’ services, to assess ARAMARK’s performance at USM. According to Craig Hutchinson, vice president of university and student life, the survey takes 10-15 minutes and one person from USM who participates will receive a round-trip ticket to anywhere in the continental United States on American Airlines. Gorham student leaders get just deserts
Residential Life is holding an annual event called “Pie a student leader” during dinner in the Brooks Student Center in Gorham on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Students will have the opportunity to throw cream pies into the faces of their RAs and other student leaders in exchange for a monetary donation.
