Name: Anthony Pergola
Age: 21
Major: Communication major/ business minor
Where are you from? Mahopac, New York (35 minutes from Yankee Stadium)
Why did you choose USM?
For the wrestling program, and I hate hot weather.
If you were supreme being of all that is USM, what would you do to make life better for the USM student?
I would have circus clowns walk around campus everyday. I would also have a football team, and a better student center on both campuses.
What was your worst dating experience?
Realizing it was not a date.
College: educational enrichment or four year party?
Both. Too hard to choose.
What is the most significant thing that you have learned here?
How important family is.
What do you do when you are not at USM?
Hang out with friends. Anything that is fun. And playing gin.
How does your major and educational direction compare to your childhood aspirations?
It doesn’t at all. I thought I would be home running the family business.
Favorite album?
Any Notorious B.I.G. album or Barney’s “How to Learn the Alphabet.”
Favorite movie?
Rounders, or Baseketball.
Do you feel that political correctness at USM is out of hand or needs more enforcement? Explain?
Yes, it is. I think it’s just a little strict.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Roommates who don’t do their dishes and Maine drivers.
To where would you like to travel and why?
To Italy to visit my family’s home town. I’m a third generation, 100 percent Italian American. Or to Toronto so I can say “eh” in a weird Canadian voice.
If you could say one sentence to George W., what would it be?
Have you ever been goosed before, and if so, did you enjoy it?
There is a man-eating cow outside a prison. Three inmates escape and one is eaten by the cow. In turn, the other two inmates eat the cow … is this cannibalism? Why or why not?
No, unless they eat the cow’s intestines, and that would be wrong.
