Not Ed McMahon at your doorstep, but the prize patrol is coming to USM
It’s that time of year again: December graduation and the Destination Graduation Committee will begin the prize patrol. During the week of Dec. 13, there will be people on the Portland, Gorham and Lewiston-Auburn campuses walking around in red and blue vests carrying balloons and USM mugs filled with candy. They will be surprising students graduating in December. The registrar’s office will be selecting names from the students who have completed the application for graduation. If a USM community member would like to schedule a prize patrol visit for a graduating student for a cost of $10, stop by at the Destination Graduation Office at 107 Payson Smith Hall.
Even December graduates get cool deals
On Dec. 12, students who are graduating in December are eligible to participate in the USM December 2002 Graduate Celebration Days on Dec. 11 and 12. Graduating students will be able to get a free beverage, courtesy of ARAMARK, or 25 percent off one item of imprinted clothing, courtesy of the USM bookstore. Students can pick up their coupons in the Destination Graduation Office, 107 Payson Smith Hall in Portland, the Brooks Student Center or the Gorham Career Services, 114 Upton Hall.
