National Depression Screening Day
The University Counseling Services and Spring Harbor Hospital are co-sponsoring free anonymous depression screenings on Thursday Oct. 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Woodbury Campus Center, room C. The screening is open to the campus community and public. The program will educate the public about the illnesses of depression, bi-polar disorder, and anxiety. Open House at College of Education
The College of Education and Human Development will host an open house on Tuesday Oct. 15 in Bailey Hall for students interested in USM’s graduate education program. Admissions advisors and financial aid staff will be available to help students through the admission process. Faculty will be available to explain academic programs and the Extended Teacher Education Program, a post-baccalaureate program two-semester field program designed for those seeking teacher certification
Green Jell-O
USM students for Green Politics present Jello Biafra, a nominee for 2000 Green Party candidate for U.S. President and ex-lead singer for the Dead Kennedy’s will be presenting a spoken word performance at the Luther Bonney Auditorium Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $1.00 for USM students and $6.00 for public.
