A theft was reported from the Media Services office at Luther Bonney Hall.
Members of the nursing department reported twice that a white male about 6 feet tall was in the women’s bathroom on the first floor of Masterton Hall.
Domestic assault was reported on the Portland campus.
Gorham police requested a USM officer to check a white Buick station wagon which was reported as operating erratically on Route 114 and inbound to Gorham center.
Saturday, Sept.21
Gorham police requested backup from a USM officer for a fight with possible
weapons involved on Dingley Springs Road. The request was cancelled after
Cumberland County sheriff units arrived and Gorham PD had broken up the fight.
Timothy R. Breau was summonsed for failure to provide insurance police said. He was warned for driving on the wrong side of the road.
Two Hannaford shopping carts were reported behind Robie-Andrews. Hannaford
Manager Peter Martin was notified and was sending someone over to pick them up
the following day. Hannaford has given no permission for students to take these
carts, as they are very expensive, police said.
Sunday, Sept.22
Nathan Eldridge was given a summons for disorderly conduct police said. He will appear in court on Nov. 4, 2002, police said.
Matthew Butler took a pen from the hand of the RA who was writing the student up for a violation. A USM officer came to the scene and Butler was taken to Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office for disorderly conduct, police said. Butler was released on bail later that night, police said.

A red and black North Face backpack was reported missing from the Gorham
campus center.
