Justin Stilson, 18, of Exeter, N.H., was charged with violation of a criminal trespass order. He is to appear in court on March 21.
Thursday, Feb.14
Nathan Stevens, 19, of 455 Hastings Hall, was arrested for assaulting a police officer, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and for refusing to submit to arrest.
Stevens was transported to Cumberland County Jail. The assaulted officer was treated at Maine Medical Center and released. In the state of Maine assaulting a police officer is a felony punishable by over a year in jail.
Friday, Feb.15
Around 5 a.m., a female resident of second floor A-wing Portland Hall awoke to find two uninvited males in her room.
USM police charged Scott D. Walsh, 19, of 262 Portland Hall, with criminal trespassing. Walsh’s guest, Kevin Normand, 20, of Falmouth, was issued a trespass order and removed from the building. Walsh is to appear in Portland District court on March 28.
USM police are investigating an assault after a USM library employee was assaulted at the Glickman library on Forest Avenue in Portland.
The assailant, who fled by foot, is described as a white male with short black hair, wearing a black and red coat, and jeans. USM police were unable to locate the offender.
Thursday, Feb.21
Portland Hall guest, Raymond Lebreton, 21, was arrested for a warrant that was out on him from the Kennebec Sheriff’s Office. Lebreton was transported to Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Saturday, Feb.23
Harassment was reported when a student reported receiving harassing e-mails. USM police were unavailable for comment on the nature of the e-mails because the matter is under investigation.
Monday, Feb.25
The Free Press reported a break-in after someone found graffiti in a conference room. Nothing was reported missing or damaged. What appeared to be satanic writings and diagrams were written all over a dry-erase board. The case is currently under investigation.
Friday, Mar.1
At 3:02 a.m. a fight was reported on the second floor of Dickey Hall. A non-resident male was issued a criminal trespass order as a result.
