Freshman.

Waterboro, Maine.
How long have you lived in Maine?
My whole life.
What do you like about USM?
That it is so close to my home. I commute.
What is your favorite class?
My women’s studies class. I like my professor. He teaches introduction to feminism and deals with women’s views in our culture – how women are socially constructed by media and other outside influences. I like it, it’s hard, and there is a lot of thinking involved.
What’s your most memorable school experience?
The long commutes to and from school.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to exercise, especially lift weights. I like to challenge myself. I challenge myself more physically than I do mentally.

Yes, I like to travel. I went to England in December and Ireland last year. I visited some friends that I had met at a summer camp I worked at.
What did you do while you were there?
We did a lot of touristy things like kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland. And in London, I visited a lot of museums.
Have you done any other travelling?
Yes. I went on a bus trip two years ago from Boston to San Francisco. And I have been to New York as well.
Do you have any words of wisdom for USM students?
Don’t take anything too seriously. Chill out.
