Two Southern Maine Technical College students who reside in Portland Hall were written up for alcohol and sign-in violations. The residents of the Yankee Clipper wing failed to sign in their guest, who is under investigation for another incident, according to USM Police.

USM police officers found a makeshift mattress and pillow in the basement of 19 Chamberlain St. Police suspect that someone was staying there, but no one was found on the premises.
Saturday, Sept.15
A coat was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in lot G-16 on the Gorham campus. Later in the day, another theft was reported in the Sullivan Gym in Portland where a female left the showers and found her clothes stolen.

At 9:15 a.m. a resident of Anderson Hall’s third floor found anti-gay graffiti on the resident’s own door. Officials are unsure whether it was individually directed or not, and the marker used has been taken for evidence.
Sunday, Sept.16
At 11:20 p.m. another resident of Anderson Hall reported anti-gay graffiti on that resident’s own door as well. Officials have not determined if the cases are related.
Monday, Sept. 17
Scales were reported stolen from room 408 in the Science Building. The cost of the stolen property was estimated at $2,000.
Monday, Sept.17
A female student on the Gorham campus reported having been harassed at the Brooks Student Center. The harasser was a former boyfriend.
