USM Police found a car parked in the Sullivan Gym parking lot in Portland with a window smashed. Nothing was stolen from the car.
Dec. 30
A student reported a hit-and-run on their parked car in the Portland campus center’s parking lot. The car was parked and suffered a dent in a fender.
Jan. 3
Four separate cases of vandalism to cars in Gorham:
USM Police received a report of vandalism to a car parked behind Bailey Hall in Gorham. Officers found the front and rear windshields were cracked.
Two cars were found in lot G-20 with broken windows and one in G-19 with slashed tires.
Jan. 4
Vending machines were found vandalized and robbed in Upton-Hasting’s Hastings Formal Lounge in Gorham.
Jan. 5
A car in Gorham was found with its windshield and a rear window smashed.
Jan. 6
A vending machine in the Upton-Hastings Lounge was vandalized and food was reported “strewn around on the floor.” Five couch cushions from that lounge area were stolen as well.

Vandalism and attempted theft of a car were reported in Gorham.

Aaron Blais stopped in Gorham lot G-20 for driving under the influence.
Jan. 15
A smoker’s outpost in front of Phillipi Hall in Gorham was reported damaged.

Several minors were caught and arrested for drinking.
Jan. 19
Female student reported being harassed by someone via Instant Messenger. The offender knew where the victim lives, because he or she described what was hanging in the victim’s window. The case is under investigation.
Jan. 20
About 22 folding chairs, some tables, a power drill and an impact wrench have been taken from the Costello Sports Complex in Gorham over a period of time. The case is under investigation.
Jan. 21
Another case of harassment was also reported. The details are currently confidential, as it is under investigation.

Complaints were reported of a person on the fourth floor of the Glickman Library with “overwhelming body odor.”
