In regards to the Mike Tardiff’s sports column, “Santana going to Mets means no Sox dynasty” (Feb. 11), I am very happy that the Red Sox kept Lester and Ellsbury. I would much rather have them than Santana. The Sox have great pitching now, and they were smart not to get greedy. And I don’t care about a Dynasty either. That whole concept is ridiculous and is just asking for disappointment. The Red Sox don’t need to adopt the “George and Hank Mentality.” I am ecstatic that the Red Sox won the World Series in ’04 and ’07. They are a great ball club and will be contenders for a long time. And if they don’t win the Series every year, so what? That’s sports.
