President Pattenaude and Chancellor Westphal will sign “The Talloires Declaration,” a 10-point action plan to guide universities worldwide in becoming leaders for the environmental movement, 1:30 p.m. on the lawn adjacent to Russell Hall. Following the signing President Pattenaude will plant the last tree of USM’s Arboretum, which will then officially open. FMI 780-4160.
