Malika Umarova, a student at USM’s Muskie School of Public Service, will present on her native Uzbekistan in a an event titled “Uzbekistan: Myths and Reality.” The presentation will be held Thursday, Mar. 31 at 3 p.m. in room 133 of the Wishcamper Center in Portland.
Umarova, a dentist from the Uzbekistan capitol of Tashkent, is studying health policy and management at the Muskie School.
The event will also feature a traditional Khoresm dance and a question-and-answer period. It is free and open to the public.
