Even before the turkey leftovers were gone, tinsel and mistletoe began appearing and the traditional shopping rush marked the beginning of the season we euphemistically refer to as the Holiday Season.
The Maine TREE Foundation and USM’s Environmental Science and Policy Program hosted a program on forestry resources in Maine last Thursday. The event was organized by Sherry Hubert and Samantha Langely-Turnbaugh and took place in the Woodbury Campus Center at 7:00p.

Answer: Jesse McKinnell, Manomet, Mass, earned the honor for his play during the week of Nov. 24-30. McKinnell averaged 8.3 points and 7.7 rebounds helping the Huskies take two of three games.
Seven USM students were featured in Maine State Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker,” which concluded at Merrill Auditorium in Portland this past Sunday. Senior Lacey Michaud, an art education major, danced as a demi-soloist in the Waltz of the Flowers segment and as Chocolate from Spain.

This policy was issued by The President’s Office and the Office of Campus Diversity and Equity in 2002 and can be found at http://www.
USM’s Financial Aid website will have a list of general scholarship and grant packages available in mid-January. Approximately 35 scholarships and grants will be posted on the website. Funds awarded by different scholarships range from $100 to $2500. The average scholarship award is about $500.
