Footprint: Wet, clean and beautiful
How lucky we all are this time of year to live in this beautiful state. The bold crimsons and lustrous goldens brighten roadsides and cityscapes, but are particularly radiant when draped over a crisp, clear lake. Sebago Lake is especially picturesque this time of year, and reflects clean simplicity.
The Free Press goes to the polls
I asked several writers at The Free Press to talk about their voting experience this year. How do we vote? Here’s their perspective of voting in the 2004 presidential election.

The Student Senate passed a bill Friday that requiring professors of distance education courses to print out and mail offsite students their graded tests, quizzes and essays unless students waive that right.

The trio of goals began in the first half with a header by senior Andy Budelman (Rochester, NH).
Real’ Theatre Comes to USM With “Six Characters In Search of an Author”
On November 5, the curtain will rise at Russell Hall on Pirandello’s “Six Characters in Search of an Author,” the final production to be directed by USM faculty Minor Rootes, who is retiring at the end of this year. Originally written in 1921, the play nevertheless asks a timely question in this era of reality television: Can a performance ever be realistic?

Everybody Loves These Idiots
We are all aware of the contributions that star players Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, Pedro Martinez and of course Curt Schilling made to bring the Red Sox their first World Series Championship in 86 years. But like any championship team, it was the unheralded players who made plays that set the stage for these stars to perform.
Fraternities at USM
Members of the Greek community wonder what role fraternities will play as the University grows.
Begathon makes a king’s ransom
Twice every year, WMPG holds a fundraiser called the Begathon. The station depends on this fundraiser for its livelihood. This year WMPG exceeded its goal of 30 thousand dollars by at least four thousand dollars.
