Two new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at the University of Southern Maine, bringing the total to four from Phase I of testing. Residential Life confirmed in an email that two students living on campus have both tested positive, one living in Robie Andrews Hall and the other in Woodward Hall.
Both students are now in isolation and following protocols set by the University and the Maine CDC. Close contacts have been contacted and are also quarantining. Residential Life defines close contacts in the email as “someone you are within 6 feet of for 15 minutes or more.”
The last day of Phase II testing is tomorrow, and Residential Life asking students living on campus to make sure they follow through with the testing.
