Nicholas Beauchesne, who goes by Nick, is the Sports Editor at the University of Southern Maine Free Press student newspaper. As an English major with a double minor in history and public and professional writing, Nick keeps himself busy at all hours of the day. Whether he’s reporting on a sports event, Substitute teaching as an alumni at Lewiston High School or attending one of his 5 classes, you can find him everywhere on campus.

After struggling to figure out his path in life, Nick has returned to USM at 30 years old and hopes to pursue a professional career in Broadcast Journalism. He writes a weekly column in the Free Press Perspectives section as well, highlighting the mistakes he made in his youth and how he learned from the consequences. Nick is a very kind and caring human being – those who are lucky enough to cross paths with him can tell just by his smile and outgoing personality.
