I am a student at USM and I have read your paper a few times (since it is plastered all over campus) and I must say I despise it. You guys have no journalistic neutrality what so ever. It really is despicable. All you do is placate to all those left-leaning progressive professors on campus and think nothing of the rest of your readership. This past week’s issue is a perfect example. Don’t you find it funny that of all the cutout masks you put on the insert of the paper, Paul LePage is the only one who looks pissed off? Hmmm. Surprise, surprise. Or what about that article you did on the firearm BBQ in Portland last year. You guys spent the entire article making the organizers and attendees look like domestic terrorist Timothy McVeigh types instead of really reporting on the rally from an unbiased point of view, reporting on the meat of the issue and using unedited comments from both sides. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves as you have pretty much guaranteed that your readership will never go far beyond the campus. You guys call yourselves a “free press” but you spend your time shackling the minds of the youth into one point of view. I don’t have to read your rag but I can tell you I would be doing everyone a favor and throwing out any copies I see just lying around.
